My Weekend

As you saw in my Friday blog I was home alone and so I had to entertain myself until the better half of my world came home the next day. So I decided to be crafty. I made little Stuffed hearts and when I got Bored with that I decided to learn more about crocheting. I have only really started trying this new skill this last year  for Christmas to make presents for my girls. I posted the pictures here on my blog.  But what I made this weekend just blows those items out of the water, so to speak. Uh Oh, am I boasting?

Check it out see if I'm not telling the truth.

My husband didn't come home tonight he is staying in Tulsa as he had a church activity to attend and since he is going to go to work tomorrow he is spending the night with our son. He will get to play with Noah. I miss him and don't like being home alone.

Bragging Grandma

I have to share. I just can't hold it in, cause I'm bursting with pride.  I have the two CUTEST grandsons in the world, now according to other grandmothers that may not be true but oh well we will just have to compare.

My Grandson Nathaniel who is two and a half is so smart can already talk up a storm and is a whirling tornado he keeps his mom on her toes. We skyped Monday He gets so excited to talk to grama.

(I love Skyping)  isn't technology wonderful?  It's like you can be in the same room with your precious loved ones yet be thousands of miles away.

And then there is my Grandson Noah everyone say AWE!
He is adorable at one month and a few days. Just saw a picture of him and he looks so alert. can't tell yet who he's gonna look like but who cares he's mine. One day he will be full of mischief if he's anything like his dad.

Ok, I know your looking at the pictures. It's ok, you can agree with me.

 I love these boys!!!!

Dining Room Curtains

I am so pleased they turned out so lovely. I wasn't sure if I would really like them but after I was finished with this window I felt like I had make a good choice. I was afraid that the color of my wall  ( Custard) would not blend with the reds and blues in the flowers but they all just make each other pop. I love it, now on to the sink window which I will try to start and finish this week.
Here below is a couple of pictures of my Before and after window and a close up of the fabric.
Comment please, let me know what you think.

The before picture:
Picture 1:   Just a plain cream valance with a strip of green. My old valance was 14 yrs old.
Picture 2:   A closeup of the fabric

The after picture:
I think there is a drastic change.

Today I have decided that I am going to make new curtains for my kitchen. I am trying to make  my mind up on the style as I really like the Tuscan look, but I like a little country look with it. Hopefully I can capture the style.

This is the fabric I will be using, the reds
                                           will brighten the room.

Christmas 2011

Our Holiday was a blessed time of family, food and of course unwrapping gifts. As I said in the previous writing My husband and I made most of our gifts. And I really think they were liked. David (my husband) built a laundry cart for our daughter n luv, with a new baby she will need it

here he is working on it in our Kitchen it was too cold outside. after he finished the main frame I had to make the fabric 3 compartment basket to hang in it. I finally finished the project at 3:30 am Christmas Eve. actually Christmas morning.

Boxing day, the day after Christmas.
On Boxing Day we all headed to Great grandpa and   Nana"s  house for Chili and to take Pics of Great Grandpa and Noah on the tractor. Notice their clothing matches

Now if you know me, I like puzzles at Christmas time as a activity as a time filler. Well my sweet heart put on in my stocking it was a 500 piece puzzle, Small right? Yeah, it took Paul, Sherry and Me   2 1/2 days to put it together. Wow you try figuring out which mint went with which ribbon of Twizzlers. Marilyn (Nana) came by for a little while and put a few pieces together with us.  When all was done we found there was only 499 pieces see if you can find the missing piece. We never did.
I hope you had as fun holiday as I did.
